Frames fit standard 3-10" bamboo/beech hoops - there is flexibility for a little bit of variation in hoop size, and small/large options for 6" & 7" as there seem to be some very different definitions out there!

Optional Hoop Butts

Hoop butts are a fast and easy way of finishing the back of your hoop and give a wonderfully polished finished.

The hoops are sent with a picture hook hanger fixing you can use to hang on a wall if you wish.

⚠️ Please note: The hoop butt sizing is tailored to securely fit standard hoop sizes, take note of the precise measurements below as they are not adjustable. ⚠️

When measuring the inner hoop ring, you want your hoop butt to be 5-10 mm smaller, depending on the backing material: felt/wadding = 10mm smaller, linen or cotton = 5mm.

We strongly suggest using felt or light quilt wadding as a backing to not only provide thickness to secure the hoop, but also to maintain the smooth appearance of the front of your work by preventing any distortion caused by the edges folded behind the hoop.

6” (large) Butt: 15cm Diameter (❌ Elbesee 6" hoops)
7” (small) Butt: 16cm Diameter (✅ Elbesee 7" hoops)
7” (large) Butt: 17cm Diameter(❌ Elbesee 7" hoops)
8" Butt: 19cm Diameter (❌ Elbesee 8" - this is a bit small for Elbesee 8" - 19.5cm works better - let me know if you are using this and I can give you the slightly larger butt)
9" Butt: 21.5cm Diameter
10" Butt: 24cm Diameter (❌ Elbesee 10" - this is a bit small for Elbesee 10" - 25cm works better - let me know and I can give you the larger butt)
